You can learn a lot about my background by viewing the Steve Spencer LinkedIn Profile.  The summary section is outlined below, but be sure to head over to the actual page to view recommendations from many senior folks I have interacted with.  Also, another view of my background can be seen in my Resume on this page.

As something of an entrepreneurial junkie, I have seen various companies from inception through successful exits. My last several company involvements were:

- dotOne, where as CTO, I and the management team sold the company for $52m dollars.

- Mediaport, where I served as CTO, my team and I were the winners of the 2002 Utah State Entrepreneurial Challenge, and the company was well funded as I moved on to found my next venture:

- Twelve Horses, where as President and CTO my partners and I made the company one of the “Top 30 Innovative Companies in Utah” as stated by Utah Business Magazine (2009), Technology Company of the Year” by the Technology Business Alliance of Nevada (2007), and “Small Business of the Year” by the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (2005).

Most recently we successfully merged Twelve Horses into One to One Interactive in 2009, where I currently serve as SVP of Strategic Technologies, and the Director of One to One for the Western United States.

In my various capacities in public and private companies, I have developed and negotiated partnerships and architected large scale technology solutions for and with such companies as Premier Global Services, MCI Worldcom, Sprint, Pitney Bowes, Computer Associates, Qwest and Microsoft.

I have always been actively involved technology and business here in Utah, within such organizations as UTC, EO, on the Board of Directors for Sandy City Chamber, and on the Advisory Boards for the Art Institute, and the Westminster College Institute for New Enterprise. I have been a business plan judge and mentor at many Funding Universe events, Westminster College business plan competitions, and for multiple top 10 teams in the Utah Entrepreneurial Challenge.
